You would think that if you open with a Tom / Tom combination your sense of direction would be fine ?
And with Tom Abell following you would be fine in the third dimension too ! :)

Agreed but he has scored a few more runs than fellow opener Tom Lammonby this year. The latter got the 70 not out but in seven other innings has amassed 35.

Both averaging around 15.:(

Feckin' dire.
And Lammonby fails again without troubling the scorer (unless you count SEVEN dots this time as progress)

And the Ciderboys currently 37-3. By heck, this sure shaping up to be a high scoring match!

Not any more you're not! 🙆
142-5 at close. Not brilliant, but still a solid base.

Haha - even the Iraqi information minister would struggle to refute that. No sense of what caused the miserable batting collapse - pitch, swing, generally being rubbish - as haven't been able to even glance at the match today due to work.

It's going to need something pretty dramatic to rescue anything from this for Hants.

Saw a few minutes between meetings. Ball moving around a lot in the morning and Hampshire batsmen are utterly hopeless in those conditions. Two successive matches now with a sub 100 first innings. Should have posted at least 150. Dopey run out as well. Feckin’ dire.

Batting a bit easier later in the afternoon when the sun came out. Kevan James reckoned Tom Abell’s knock was worth a century on that pitch and that was when he had scored 45.

Good to see Essex skittled for 99. Rejoice !
