Somerset mess up too. The vagaries of DLS seemed to work unfairly against them. Great effort from Tom Lammonby to take the match to the last ball after too many early wickets went down.

Looked like James Hildreth did a hammy which could be a season ender :(
So which Bears player in this match is a massive ECFC fan and season ticket holder??

He was a bit of a character when still playing 🙂

Really chuffed with that news.

We met Steve Kirby at Sophia Gardens in 2012 just after Somerset had been knocked out of the T20 in the semi by Hampshire. He was playing with his kids in the practice area. Really lovely man. Actually wished one of our group wearing a Hampshire lanyard all the best in the final.

I recall Bumble once commenting that he saw Steve aggressively approaching him, steam coming out of his head, eyes bulging only for Steve to thrust out his hand and say “How are you mate”

Came across somewhat as Mr Angry and wears his heart on his sleeve but always gave of his best on the field.
