I love it when youngsters come in and do well. There's something uplifting about it.
So we've got Archer, Sibley, Crawley, Pope, Burns, Root, Stokes, Wood, Curran all well under 30 (IINM). Augurs well for the future.

Can't complain about the 100 first wicket stand, but you have to keep your concentration after a break. Disappointing that they couldn't get us to 150 Never mind : good effort.

What did Stokes say/do on the way back to the pavilion?

Had a "verbal exchange" with someone off the pitch apparently. Maybe a Yarpi spectator said something he took umbrage at ?

Bad light brings an early end to the day with England on 192-4 (54.2 overs). Root 25 no. and Pope 22 no. .

Let me guess, the spectator (probably a rock-spider) had a go about his father?

Alternatively, what if it was a certain SA player who was sitting in the stands, due to serving a ban over his behaviour out in the middle ? That would be quite a story !

The young blood is energising the team.
I don't mind if we lose tests if we have a young team trying it's best. Valuable experience for them.
One swallow doesn't make a summer, but the initial signs are encouraging.
Finally, is it time for Buttler to stand down!
