Hants have signed Nathan Lyon, as forecast by Al some time back.

We've brought in an overseas player - Aussie Peter Hanscomb, who will also be our captain.

At last one bright spot.

That's a very good signing. He doesn't count as an overseas player either does he? British parents.

The money sloshing around at Surrey and Hampshire is ridiculous - don't imagine Amla or Lyon came cheap.

I *think* he does due to playing for Australia.

Ah yeah I suspect you are right. Hopefully Ethan Bamber will get a bit more cricket for you guys next year.

I really hope so (I believe he was injured for some of the season) - one of the more bizarre decisions we made in the final few matches was bringing in a middling West Indian bowler when we had the likes of Bamber waiting in the wings and our batting up the creek.

Reports suggesting that Malan and Stuart Law didn't get on.

Wouldn't surprise me.

I see Yorkshire's Dawid Malan scored a ton in the T20.
