Meat and two veg? I thought McArdle had gashed his **** and split his ball sack?
Not quite sure this scans perfectly but how about this for a chant:

We've got McArdle, he plays at the back
One time for City, he nearly lost his ... ... ...

"McArdle, he nearly lost one ball..."
[ then fill in names of opposition players ] " xxx has two but very small..."

Why do all our games on a Saturday kick off at 1pm and most others remain at 3pm?

As we are the common denominator, it must be at our request. Probably something to do with getting home at a more reasonable hour.

Does this happen with other clubs that are somewhat geographically isolated then? Can't say i've noticed. Sunderland / Carlisle / Plymouth?

It makes perfect sense to start at1pm if the away side have stayed overnight, having travelled on Friday. No need to kick heels so much on Saturday morning. Much better chance of getting home a sensible time on Saturday .

And cuts the cost of floodlighting in mid winter too!

Without fans, i like the 1pm kick offs as it leaves you the rest of the afternoon. I'm not so keen under normal circumstances and when pubs are open though as it means starting a bit too early for me 🍻

For me it's a good time : starting at 8.p.m and finishing at 10 👍
