I'm surprised by the assumption that Dawson will definitely be surplus to requirements at Wednesday. I still think there must be a reasonable chance he might be first choice next season.
While not entirely inconceivable, it would seem he's a fair way down the pecking order at Hillsborough right now.

But our resident Wednesday fan suggested that one or two of their keepers might be leaving so that pecking order might look different next season.

It just doesn't make sense for Wednesday to subsidise his wages for another season merely to retain his services for one season before losing him on a free. They may as well make him available for transfer at. the end of this season and cash in on him.
But it is not just down to Wednesday for him to be sold. Cam would have to agree, as unless a buying club were to match his wages why would he give up two more years on half a million (?) a year ! :unsure:
