Got this press photo a while back, but have never known who the City player is. Anyone got an idea?.

Is from the late 40s/early fifties as there are no floodlights on the Cowshed. Difficult to say from the keeper who the opposition is, but the socks could be black and gold, so maybe Newport?

Whilst helping Mum search for a letter she had put in a "safe place" this was found in one of her countless "draws with stuff in". I had completely forgot about it's existance.

I have corrected the first photo (hopefully it will stay corrected) the keeper’s name was not George Harvey but George Hunter. We signed him from Derby County after he had earlier played for Celtic helping them to win the Scottish Cup Final and was in my opinion one of City’s best ever keepers.

SB- Before my time but have often seen his name mentioned...what City keeper in the modern era 80s onwards would you compare him to?
