What a wonderful day - I haven't smiled so much in a long time!

Well done to the Trust. However it's now got some further serious thinking to do. Will it complete the necessary full financial review of the Club? Will we revert to the position where the Trust Chair is also the Club Chair? Or will we now go for a truly 'independent' Chairman who will genuinely report to both boards? If we go the second route then that chairman will have to be a seasoned professional who can actually carry out the redevelopment programme and who needs to be amenable to taking the specialist advice that is freely available within the ranks of City supporters.

The Trust has shown the Club Board that it now takes its governance role seriously. We must never again get into the situation where it is allowed to slip.

I think thats a bit unfair on Wolfie. You have to give him an opportunity to show his worth and he has yet to do anything .
Amended for factuals. :)

It might be useful if he did something right, though. Never mind : we'll keep him on the books for a couple of years as part of our charitable contribution to useless suits. The important thing is that my friend the butcher says he's a nice bloke.

Just echoing the good news sentiments being shown so far. I'd imagine he'll go down in history as the most ineffective and out of touch with supporters chairman ever. I cannot think of one single thing he's done in his time here and don't know of anyone who's met him and had a conversation with him.

Today is a good day.

Ed standing down makes Taggy Chairman.....
Please dont say that Lez, you can bet your life he'll want the 15K that we were thinking we'd saved by offloading Chorlton.

Speaking of Tagg, he's next to go - or tell us what he does exactly, closely followed by Perryman with the same questionaire!

Yes, a good thing.
The guy appeared to have had some sort of charisma by-pass operation.
