Has gone on loan to Truro City, a good move for him. He did go to Bideford last season, but sure how much game time he got before the season was curtailed.

He went to Bideford, didn't play and was then loaned to Tiverton where he got a little bit of game time before the season was curtailed. A good move for him and there will be some familiar faces down there too!

Somewhat ashamed to say it but the influence of Paul Wotton could do wonders for Diabate.

Cheick has had very little exposure to men's football due to Covid. This will do him good and help him smooth out some rough edges and gain experience.

there's now a separate thread on Cheickh Diabate (get your comments in now so that you can be proved right in a couple of years time!)
This lad is going places. A star in the making.

Looking forward to quoting this and being proved right in a couple of years.

Not convinced by Diabate. Can't see him cutting the mustard. Truro is his level.

t'will be interesting to see the outcome.

But it isn't Truro's opening league fixture. Its their third. Yes, Conference National may have started today but Truro and others started their league campaigns last weekend. Diabate missing until now (Ellis Johnson a late sub in both previous games)

Here's the report of the midweek win. A goal from a tough tackling 21 year old midfielder who sounds promising, name of Will Dean!

Also Ellis Johnson has featured in all three of Truro's games. I think we might need a general "Loan Watch" thread again rather that tagging on the player's individual threads ;) .
