I fancy this one too.My "local" game. Typically I'll be away for it!
A day out in London is always a good day. Hopefully the trains will be running okay.
Have you thought about staying somewhere further out, but still on a tube line or on the rail network? There are so many things you can do in a few days in London (see also my last entry on the Last Film Watched thread )I fancy this one too.
I’ve looked into us staying in or around London for a few days but as expected it’s prohibitively expensive, especially as it would need to include weekend nights for this game.
Plus, as I prefer to drive myself if possible, taking a car into London and paying for it to be parked up for a few days is a non-starter too.
So I plan to look into going up and back on Grecian Travel.
I’ve gone with them a couple of times over the years and they’ve helpfully picked me up at M5 Junction 24 but I wonder if they’d go on the A303 from Exeter to South London, which doesn’t pass very close to Bridgwater?
I’ll contact them and ask.
Thanks for the tips.Have you thought about staying somewhere further out, but still on a tube line or on the rail network? There are so many things you can do in a few days in London (see also my last entry on the Last Film Watched thread )
So you're going?I haven't been back to Charlton since the FA Cup game, in 2002/3. The seating in the away end was absolutely appalling, just about big enough for infant school kids. My back was in spasms for weeks afterwards !
Er no ! Very unlikely ever again unless they sort that seating out ! Of course a playoff fixture involving promotion to the Championship, might present me with somewhat of a dilemma !So you're going?
