Radio Devon seem to be suggesting there is a concern that the fire could still spread, so I wouldn't bother listening to the optimistic part of my previous post.

Westcountry News have just spoke to the Chief Fire Officer who's said it may be all weekend until the fire is fully out. Shocking news.

The big black balls of smoke this afternoon were awful.

I'm amazed there has been so much damage. Normally these fires are relatively easily contained unless there are chemicals involved..
