"Committed to playing football at the highest sustainable level". I wonder if they have League 1 in mind, or League 2 ?
Is that not the elephant in the room? Highest level without sustainable and we'd have wondered about Champ, sustainable without highest and we'd have wondered if L2 was that summit?

I don’t think appeased if the right word. I want him gone, but understand how slowly the club feels like it moves sometimes… in terms of realistic expectations they’ve at least addressed the elephant in the room and it means I’ll (hopefully) only have to endure a couple more games of GC football.

If they drag it out beyond that, it’s unforgivable.

how accurate that is i have no idea found it online.
As ever, you take these things with a pinch of salt, but I can believe that all the players we have on loan are on those types of figures with their parent clubs and that we are paying a % (that % might be 0%). What worries me is if GC has given any of the others the sort of figures mentioned. Even in the right stratosphere. Bar Demi (who still in L1 isnt worth over £3k a week), the others should be on no more than half what those figures are. Youre telling me that the two unfit crocks we brought in for free are on over £2k a week? Our 3/4 choice centre half on over £150k a year and as for Scott.........

Sounds so sombre haha

A period of mourning for losing our League 1 status, drawn out over several months

If we manage to pick up a few wins between now and Christmas, think you may have to endure another transfer window and potentially longer…

Genuine question: Where do you stand in the [unlikely] event that we win our next two league games?!
Probably as if nothing happened 🤷‍♂️

Malky Mackay has just been punted. Maybe you keeping Caldwell isn't the worst thing.

For some context.. he's been sacked from a team in a micky mouse league who never have anything to play for..and our league is far more competitive and Mackay's been sacked for 9 games lost..

I've been open to changing my mind the whole way through, if he does perform a miracle. He'd have to win more than a couple of games in a row to get me back onside, but 2 wins would obviously change the outlook of the next month or so.

Would have loved him to prove me wrong recently (since I turned after Derby) but we just get worse.

The writing was on the wall for Malky the moment he allowed this to happen.
