You might want to get the tissues out before reading this from the Bury Chairman. Hope we're not voting for their reinstatement.

It doesn't even appear to be signed by their poor 'ickle " suffering Chairman" actually. Just his few remaining lackies in their so called "media team". I don't think I've seen such a vile, self-serving pile of self-aggrandising poo since our own R&L days. Mind you, those sad words have managed to reduce me to tears (albeit of cynical mirth)

So perhaps a suggestion to Mr Dale (and his past and present cronies)
1) You took a punt (and if all the reports are true it only cost you an actual £1 to acquire the club). You, and your old asset-grabbing mates, take the financial hit and just eff-off into the sunset.
2) Hand what's left of the club (free of charge and without past encumbrances) to the newly formed Bury SUPPORTERS Trust. (Then, as I've said, just take the hit and eff-off into the sunset)
Should that happen and there are iron-clad guarantees that it is not just another conduit into your own back pocket(s) then perhaps, just perhaps, supporters of other clubs might just respond to the appeals for help.
And, if not an immediate resurrection into the FL (which your apparent greed and arrogance still appears to demand) then at least experience, expertise and possible support to remain, even if as a "phoenix club".

There are still plenty of SUPPORTERS around of such clubs who have been there, done that and have still managed to survive. Halifax, Chester and others are still fighting through the lower leagues. Some, like the Wombles, Newport and, dare I say, our own ECFC (although, mercifully, our own fall was not quite as calamitous as the others) have not only survived but also managed to thrive (in a relative sense). But that was all done by folk who love their football rather than a sniff at a quick buck.

So, Mr Dale. In my opinion its in your own hands. Take the pain and hand over to those who actually care for the club. Otherwise you (and BFC) can just sink into well deserved oblivion you've brought them to.

G2k (off to Wilko to buy some sick bags and doggy poo bags)

Think that will happen when anyone goes into Bury's books if they're interested in buying the club

Surely they would have known about most of the problems from what has been reported in the press. The whole situation is so bizarre anyway, they don't need to add to that experience!

The process needs for Bury to go completely bust under its current ownership and for a re-formed club to start in a low non league format, to recover at whatever league level they get to.

The main losers, apart from Bury supporters, who at least will have a club to follow albeit outside of the league, will be non-football creditors who may lose substantial amounts of money and they're who we should feel sorry for.

You'd thought so Hants, Perhaps being involved with a supporters group wanting what's best for Bury they may have thought it can't be as bad as people were saying?

If it was an animal you would put it down. The sooner the Bury fans can start their own AFC Bury the better.
