There is too much of an instant reaction to be defensive when their own club/country are caught in a racism situation. I saw a piece on the "ThisisSomerset" website (presumably printed in the E&E equivalent of Yeovil) the other day which was accepting the bottle throwing but advising great caution on the racism as no Yeovil fans there had heard it. It is an instinctive reaction to defend their own which the Bulgarian FA and Coach were showing even before England got there. https://www.somersetlive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/yeovil-town-racism-haringey-borough-3448348Slightly off thread but on topic,Jamie Carragher has finally admitted that he & his Liverpool team mates were a bunch of cnuts(in so many words) in the racism row with Patrick Evra & the ‘back biter’
It has taken the uncomfortably events of the past week to bring out a grudging apology for that disgraceful episode in 2011.
Lots of hypocrisy over the years from the good & the great in the game.
