Brazil 2014 World Cup Qualifiers

Canm't see us qualifying for the knock out stages after this draw, we're with - Italy, Uraguay & Costa Rica, may scrape 3rd in the group?

Game times (BST):

Sunday 15 June, 2am: England v Italy

Thursday 19 June, 8pm: Uruguay v England

Tuesday 24 June, 5pm: Costa Rica v England

Need to be going into the Costa Rica game with two or three points at least. Will be tough.

Italy will be tough. Get somebody to do a hatchet job on Suarez before the season is out will sort Uruguay out and I'm sure even England can do Costa Rica. That the gives us an easier second round game which ever way you look at it, the hardest option for me would be Ivory Coast out of them Colombia, Greece or Japan. If we come second in our group that will leave us with either Brazil, Holland or Spain and probably the end of the road. If we won our group, we'd either end up with Spain or Holland and probably the end of the road.

I've just played it out with this, http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/world-cup/10501412/World-Cup-2014-Wallchart-Predictor-Game.html. It wound up with Brazil beating Holland in the final.

Group D - Group of Death. Pah I say.

Group B is the Group of Death. Italy, well they're not one of the top European sides, that's why they weren't seeded. They're not currently up there with the likes of Spain, Germany and maybe Holland. Heck, even Belgium are better I'd say. Uruguay, well that will be a tough game, especially in S America. And Costa Rica, well not easy, but if you can't beat them you don't deserve to be in the quarter finals, let alone win it.

All this aside, we had an easyish draw in 2010 and made tough going of it, each game being pretty dreadful truth be told. Italy had an even easier draw and fared even worse. I'd rather we go out at the group stages and watch 3 cracking games, than go through a 2010 experience again.

Do you think Italy & Uruguay woke up happy this morning with their draw. No they didn't particularly want England as much as we wanted them.

As long as all our players don't get any serious injurie's between now and the start of the world cup we should be able to give each game our all and hopefully Hodgson will start bringing in more of the younger player's as well.

May as well have been 4 o'clock in the morning.Fecking 11pm's not much good when you gotta get up at 6.:S.
