It seems that the owners of Blackpool are attempting to sue their fans' forum for £150k over comments made on it which they've described as defamatory:

Recent comments on the forum suggest that the club owners aren't exactly in the running to win the annual Blackpool popularity competition so it seems that whilst they may want to make a point, this perhaps isn't the way to do it. Do they actually have a case? Does the responsibility lie with the poster or the forum?

From what I heard the Blackpool owners are trying to run the club cheaply.

- They don't have a kit man
- They train in a public park
- Releasing their highest earning players and signing them with rejects (e.g. Andre Blackman who was last season released by Argyle, Dover and Maidenhead)

Loving the free flowing entertaining football at S
They do train in a public park as I walked by and watched them train not long after Lee Clark took over while on a trip up north

We believe the responsibility remains with the original poster, provided proof can be shown that the forum attempts to remove any defamation or libel.

We are certainly watching with interest, and the result could have huge ramifications for boards up and down the country.

One thing for certain, trolling and cyber bullying are real problems.
