Great game, finished 83-80 to the Swans, the Crows remain the top team but this win guarantees a top 4 finish for the Swans.

Never done this before
The West Coast Eagles just snuck into the play offs and then *just* snuck part Port Adelaide to claim a QF place against GWS.

It's half time in that match, which GWS are winning comfortably :(

Okay better late than never

The top 8 at the end of the league were as follows

Adelaide Crows
Geelong Cats (Melbourne ish)
Richmond (Melbourne)
GWS (Sydney)

Port Adelaide
Sydney Swans
Essendon (Melbourne)
West Coast Eagles (Perth)

I have split them into 2 groups of 4 because the top 4 get 2 bites of the cherry in the knockout, meaning the losing sides get another chance to progress as they play the winning sides from the bottom 4

Thus far it has panned out as follows

Adelaide Crows beat GWS (so straight through for Adelaide and GWS get another bite)
Richmond beat Geelong (so straight through for Richmond and Geelong get another bite)
Sydney Swans beat Essendon for the right to play Geelong
West Coast Eagles beat Port Adelaide for the right to play GWS

Sydney swans lost to Geelong (convincingly on friday)
West Coast Eagles lost to GWS (again convincingly)

This means the semi finals are as follows

Adelaide Crows vs Geelong
Richmond vs GWS

Games to be played on friday and saturday. Adelaide won the league so should be considered the favourite, but it is a cup situation so who knows what will happen. What is interesting is the 4 teams who finished 5th to 8th all went out in the knockout stages, suggesting the league table does not lie

I have watched Sydney Swans this year who had a terrible start but then went on a brilliant won to finish 6th, but were comprehensively beaten by Geelong and deservedly so

I fancy Richmond to sneak it :)

The first semi final kicks off in about 90 mins.

I have put a small punt on Isca's Adelaide team to make the final by a winning margin of between 25 and 36 points :)
