I assume there will be free samples.

I had a very disappointing cheddar today. Described as "extra mature" it was barely above medium.

It wasn't from Quicke's i hasten to add.

Loving the boy Stanno
I sampled 10 different cheeses last night in my Majorca hotel. It was cheese night.

I was there and there was less free cheese than I'd hoped for.

There was a cheese cathedral which really didn't live up to its billing.

The Cheese Cathedral is not to be sniffed at!

I thought, lack of freebies notwithstanding, that Quicke's did an excellent job. The staff were lovely and there was lots for the kids to do.

Cheese in general, however I do know a good cheese-related joke.

Q: What cheese should you use to entice a bear out of a cave?

Come on bear > Camembert.

*Reaches for coat*

Mortified that the pleasure of cheeseage is denied to you Stroudy. As Brillat-Savarin is supposed to have opined: a meal/dessert without cheese is like a beautiful woman with only one eye.

Continuing the jokeage:

What cheese was found when the French factory was blown up ?
