What does former Wales and Everon captain Ashley Williams know?!

I thought that was a really good piece by Ashley Williams, thanks for linking it Egg. He's right about that next generation; think he's also turning the heat up on Rob Page a bit, which is entirely fair now this tournament is done and dusted. A no-brainer for FAW to give him the gig full-time after stepping up to cover Giggs' absence; but he's now got to prove himself as the 'not caretaker' and needs to imprint his own identity on a squad that will become less reliant on Bale (I also read Williams' comments as suggesting now was the time for Bale to call it a day for Wales).

Quite. Wouldn't eight groups of six, with the top four in each progressing to the round of 32, make more sense?

Or even 12 groups of four, with the top two in each and eight 'best losers' going through.
You heard it here first! ;-)
