Neko Case - Fox Confessor Brings the Flood
Margaret vs Pauline > Star Witness > Hold On, Hold On: Possibly the best three opening tracks on any album ever.

Her subsequent studio album wasn't too shabby either. Neko's the boss.

Slightly heavier tastes than most but it's all great music

Slipknot - We are not your kind
Dream State - Primrose path
While She Sleeps - So what?
Frank Carter & the Rattlesnakes - End of suffering
Korn - The nothing
Sum 41 - Order in decline
Dinosaur Pile Up - Celebrity mansions
Alien Weaponry - Tu (2018 but I found it in 2019)

Korn were awesome up until the 5th album then I couldn't have them anymore. Slipknot debut was great too but not so keen on other stuff. Dinosaur Pile Up I've not heard and they sound interesting so going to give them a listen. Dinosaur Jr however are still superb in the meantime.

Ah, each to their own and they're good fun live.
Personally I think the same about Tool as you do about DPU but we can't all be lovers of a cymbal

I've been thinking about this on and off since Swanny threw down this challenge - 'the best three opening tracks on any album ever....'

P'raps I'm showing me age but I reckon you've got to go back to concept albums of the 70s to come close, but I offer up these 3 for starters:
  1. The Lamb lies down on Broadway
    1. The lamb lies down..
    2. Fly on a windshield
    3. Broadway melody of '74
  2. A Night at the Opera
    1. Death on 2 legs
    2. Lazing on a Sunday afternoon
    3. I''m in love with my car
  3. Ziggy Stardust
    1. Five Years
    2. Soul Love
    3. Moonage Daydream
Any others out there?
