Always interested to know what other people are listening to away from the dross that pumps out of Heart or Radio 1

My top five (in alphabetical order) would be:
Alcest - Spiritual Instinct
Cult of Luna - A Dawn to Fear
New Model Army - From Here
Tusks - Avalanche
Yola - Walk Through Fire

There was a live Winterfylleth album from Bloodstock out this year that was very good....

Last.fm tells me that my five most listened to albums this year have been:

1. Portishead- Dummy
2. Mazzy Star - Among My Swan
3. Pooka - Pooka
4. Jenny Lewis - On The Line
5. Neko Case - Middle Cyclone

Not particularly Rock and Roll, I'll admit, but five very strong albums imo.

Of course, Last.fm doesn't know that Sleater Kinney's The Woods is more or less welded into my car CD player.

Ah I didn't know. Thanks Steve. My mate played me Ensigns of Victory once and I loved it so only heard the album I've got really and not much else.

I've been listening to older stuff mainly as not had the chance to find new music lately.

For shame I didn't buy a single album of new music in 2019. None of my favourites released an album and I just haven't been enthused by anyone else.

I think if I received a Coldplay album for Christmas it would be donated to the charity shop asap after the big day. Although I would feel a tad guilty knowing i'd given them something they simply wouldn't be able shift - even at 50p.
