I do love a good flare, they look brilliant, but those that hold them need to know how to hold them. The guy behind me let off a flare, but was holding it at right angles, which meant burning substances landed on my girlfriend and I. She has a burn on her face now and I have a burn on my hand (not serious burns btw, but enough to sting).

Oh good a exeweb meltdown, I've missed these!

Suggestions and proposals where made by muggins here to the club and trust in a meeting post Walsall regarding pyrotechnics, fan behaviour and younger supporters, sadly I'd imagine like all meetings I've had over the five years it was a waste of my time hence why Ive now given up trying to make them see sense, that there is a different approach to these things.

Enjoy your meltdown guys and gals.

In the last two pages of this thread, we have evidence of two people who needed medical attention at Northampton and a further two people who suffered minor burns, as a result of pyrotechnics. You may describe that as a "meltdown", but most would describe it as a health & safety issue.

Personally, I love the look of flares, but as mentioned above they need to be used by responsible people in a safe environment. I'd be interested to know more about the meeting you had, what were you hoping for and what was the club's/Trust's response.

Thanks for posting that. I couldn't get there last night, but as usual the media team have captured things brilliantly. Thanks again.

Just because you have a girlfriend, unlike the rest of us.

Thanks for proving my point on the meltdown front!

The meeting was in the past and wasn't anything I've not posted on here before. Basically the meeting mainly centered around making younger get fans feel's included, giving them a voice, events, membership schemes etc etc etc etc. The idea was that if more younger fans had that then they would be less likely to then behave poorly at games because clearly long term bans isn't working nor actually really worries them as all there missing is home game's but if they where missing out on more things then it would have a bigger impact. I'm not saying there is a large problem of this at city as there isn't but pyrotechnics comes under that umbrella hence why I brought it up.

like I said I've heard nothing back from the Club or Trust andanyway I've filled my free time with other things that aren't Exeter city related now. It's what it is, only so many hours in the day for myself and those at the club and trust.
