Pleas explain why you are not wrong? Is it that Plymouth and Exeter have bigger catchment areas because they're bigger clubs? Or is it yourself skewing the figures (so to speak) to try and make your (currently) weak point of view, look better than it is?
God is this still going on?
We have Paignton, Brixham and Newton abbot as our immediate catchment area, then we cross over with Argyle in Totnes and your lot in Teignmouth. Your catchment potentially extends into all of Mid, East and North Devon with no competition whilst Plymouth has it's own large population plus West Devon and potentially most of Cornwall.

Does it make you feel better about yourselves pretending we're some kind of metropolis? What about if you add the fact that half of our residents have moved down from god knows where and probably don't even know Torquay has a football team?

It's because we keep finishing above you isn't it? we should barely exist but still we keep coming back again and again and taking the **** out of you, a "proper, big, city" club?

you need to get over it, because it'll happen again soon.

On_The_Beach, this is very well argued. These inbreeds do not like it when a few FACTs are explained to them however. We have a much smaller potential catchment for fans, and even the catchment we do have, involves so many grocks who have moved there and already have their own teams.

But like I said OTB, these exweebs don't like the truth because they can't handle the truth !

Got to agree.....

Considering the catchment area City have........their crowds are very, very tinpot, and they know it.

5k home fans for a "full of optimism" early season, saturday afternoon lge 1 game against a recent ex premiership side is **** poor.

It was very embarrassing to only have TWICE your gate.

Especially considering we hadn't won yet and you had a 100% win rate. You can moan all you like about your catchment areas but we all know that your 'crowd' is **** poor.

Indeed, in addition there were over 9,500 watching Premiership rugby. Luckily for us I am sure that for those that crossed over, the novelty will soon wear off.

I'm guessing that Torquay also have a succesful side in another sport, if not there can be absolutely no excuses for their awful attendences, given their fantastic run of form.

I'm sure BTI described TUFC as the pride of devon. Seems nobody is proud enough to even bother watching them :$

Thank you for the answer, what you're basically saying is we (Exeter) have a bigger catchment area, and are the bigger club.

That's all I wanted admitted.

I'm always wary of the whole big club, small club thing as i've never known how exactly it's measured.
You have a much bigger squad if that's what you mean.
