Can't understand how they can justify £10 for a JPT 1st round fixture, especially when it's not a derby. A fiver for adults and a quid for a kid - whilst it probably wouldn't have boosted the attendance that much - would have been far more reasonable, especially as this is the fifth home game in a month since the season started.

That would have slashed the turnstyle reveune by half & as you say would probably made little impact on the attendance...Not too clever with the Grecians not getting great FL crowd figures.

It was £12 for the Flybe which was reasonable for a first team fixture in a minor cup competition.

It will be intresting to see how many come from Newport to SJP..They were not great travellers in the BSP..One thing for sure it will be more than they brought down for their last visit to SJP for a FL game in August 1987.A van load at best..I remember seeing about 10 lads from South Wales pile out of a Transit & that was about it....
As a Newport fan, I'd be disappointed if we don't bring 500 as a minimum and would like to think that 750 was closer to the mark. I know a variety of fan groups/pubs etc are doing coaches and there is a lot of enthusiasm for this trip. Me, I'll be coming up from Plymouth so an easy journey! Looking forward to coming to SJP as I've never been there before.

What are the best pubs for pre- and post-match drinks?
