I am thinking of throwing in a session of homophones ?

What do quizzers think ?

Not that I am necessarily going to practise democracy of course :)

Tenuous or not I must admit I quite enjoyed playing around with those homophones once Swanny had given the tip that it was the method to employ.

At one point I had got as far as 'beaky leather' and was pleased to discover City had once had a player called Bulcock ..
There was another picture for that so I’m sure we’re all glad he chose a beaky ring.

Beaky ring > Bird call is the tenuous bit for me. God help us if Swanny ever gets in the hot seat.
You are all overrhinking it. Spoonz' long list of homophones was an unnecessary journey, he just happened to get off at the right stop.

The only homophone needed was 'a leather bee'. Red E as a leather bee. Simple innit.

*awaits lynch mob*

Red E as a leather bee > Ready as I’ll ever be

As a precursor to the quiz and a clue about how you’re feeling about it, I have concluded that, sir, you are a genius.
