I tend to agree. Although Watkins does offer something completely different to both Kane and Toney. It all depends on what Southgate wants as in like for like if kane can't play, or a different type of player off the bench.
Fingers crossed Kane stays fit. Regarding Mainoo, if Southgate plays...
If it was about population size then China and India would dominate international football. I don't have a problem with Wales and I'm sure the coastline is lovely, it's just since that video of their players celebrating England's loss to Iceland in 2016 I've always supported their opponent.
Wales no longer have a stand out player who can win them a big match. In recent times they had Bale, and before him Giggs. Hopefully now they'll fade away into the abyss for 20 years or so. Scotland have a better squad than Wales these days.
No, he won't view him as most do on here because he won't have his rose tinters on. If Toney had come through the City academy instead of Watkins most on here would prefer Toney to be picked for England, focusing on his strengths over Ollies.
Southgate will know everything he needs to know...
Its not just about how they've performed for their clubs its about how Southgate thinks they can fit into the England style. Naturally, they're both good players as they're in the England frame, perhaps he'll take both.
It was a terrible refs decision. Nothing to do with the player. Players play act all over the country every weekend rolling around like they've been shot only to quickly get up and get on when they realise everyone, including the ref and their own players, is ignoring them.
I wouldn't mind the white kit to be our home kit.
I like the black kit but think it would be nicer without the pin stripes. However, we'll still look great wearing it as we hold aloft the League 1 trophy next season.
Luckily Southgate isn't as short sited as you then Geoff. You don't have to bang in a hatrick to impress the manager and he'll be more aware than you and I of Ollies strengths. He's on the plane.
Do we know how long he has remaining on his contract? I think he may have 2 more seasons after this one so basically signed a 3.5 year contract but I may be wrong.
