Feel like I’m the only one that doesn’t feel like we need another number 9…
As it stands we usually play with a 9 and two 10s behind him as a front three… for that front three we have:
Mo Eisa
Sonny Cox
Admiral Muskwe
Millenic Alli
Yanic Wildschut
Jack Aitchison
Luke Harris
Dion Rankine
Kyle...
I’m so sick of Caldwell’s tactics. Jules the Left Back just running off up the pitch into attacking midfield whenever we have the ball. The midfielders dropping deep and wide. Trying to work it down the wings. There’s no pace to it, no urgency, and it’s so so so predictable.
Not to mention it’s...
My mind goes back to when Matt Taylor said we would be a “running team”. Under Gary Caldwell we are definitely more of a walking/light jogging team 😂
Not that that’s necessarily less effective, but sometimes it can be frustrating to watch!
For me I think if Caldwell had everyone fit he would go for:
-——————Sinisalo——————-
—Sweeney—Aimson—Hartridge—
Niskanen—Carroll—Trevitt—Jules
-———Aitchison——Mitchell———-
-——————Muskwe——————-
Bench:
Woods
Fitzwater
Rankine
Kite
Cole
Wildschut
Scott
Would mean leaving out:
Macdonald
Diabate...
Admiral Muskwe
Jack Aitchison
Dion Rankine
Vincent Harper
Harry Kite
Viljami Sinisalo
Ilmari Niskanen
All unavailable
Already paying the price for having such a thin squad - still think the boys can get the win today though
If this is it, seems like a very thin squad to me. Only 18 outfield players for 10 spots and 6 on the bench. That only leaves room for two injuries (currently Scott, Kite and Aitchison are unavailable for the next game) before we have to start relying on youngsters (e.g. Beardmore, Borges...
Yeah I was hoping for some sort of update from Gary…
“We tried to get a few but they all fell through, we’ll look to move into the free agent market now…”
Or something like that
