Is it time to ditch being satisfied with mediocrity?
- Erm... Sure, OK.
Are you fed up with being told we can only be a league 2 also ran?
Is it time for a change?
- Yeahhh!! Hell yeaghh!!!
So let's do a big change??!!
- Definitely!!! So, umm... Whats the plan...
I don't get really get this. Of course bad things that happened under the trust's watch are the responsibility of the trust... while everything should be judged in its proper context.
If you want an example of trust mismanagement, go for the time they converted the loan to the club into a gift...
Stopped the club going down the spout, stabilised the finances, set up an enviable youth system, achieved more success on the pitch than in the preceding decade.
Things could be better, of course. Think we need to be open to ideas. The idea of having an idea isn't actually an idea though.
Righto mate. You said you'd a plan and would reveal it. Then you said youre too busy. Fair enough. I'm eager to debate it. There's nothing to debate... Nothing to shut down if I wanted to... Nor would I be able to. You seem like a paranoid charlatan.
I'm not... You've had nothing to say, apart from belief, ambition, buzzwords... Details to follow when you're less busy. I'm interested to hear what you've got to say, if there's some content. If you've not got time now, thats fine. Bring it up when you have Ed.
Youve piped up on here, bandying the word cult around, talking of belief and ambition... If you've got a good idea, I'm all ears. If you're too busy to tell us, probsbly don't say you've got the answers and non believers are in a cult. Just wait till you've the time.
Not against private investment, per se. But would want serious questions to be asked about who the person is, what they want to invest money for, etc. The club is not a sensible business investment. Money tends to come with strings. Whether that is acceptable depends on exactly what the strings...
OK, so your idea is to not be scared and hope someone more clever thinks of a good idea and then does it.
Sounds like Ed Gallois might be your man. He says he's got a plan and says he's clever. Don't know what his plan is, like.
I've a brilliant plan, but its under wraps for now. All you have to know is that you have to believe. Also, you need to be prepared to be a bit less careful with your money. And all those who are skeptical are in a cult.
Go ahead mate, the floor is yours. Try to describe it without using words like belief, ambition, fear, etc. Imagine you live in a world where everyone agrees that a good football team is desirable and its only the plan thats to be debated. Go on... What's the grand plan?
