    2024 Summer Transfer Window

Presumably whatever wages Wigan are paying will be close to what Dion was getting at Chelsea otherwise it wouldn't be in his interests to leave Chelsea and I can't see us being willing to pay that much. I thought Dion was outstanding against Reading New Year's Day but struggled to reach that...

    General Election voting intentions

Here you go! https://whocanivotefor.co.uk/elections/parl.exeter.2024-07-04/exeter/ Amusingly the Reform candidate not only looks exactly as you'd expect a Reform candidate to look, he hasn't updated his campaign announcement since the least election he stood in for Plymouth council. Not sure...

    2024 Summer Transfer Window

Millenic Alli is another example of a player with no previous connection so not sure who was responsible for scouting him but they clearly did a good job. As for Marcus Flitcroft, my understanding is that he's taken on a lot of the Director of Football stuff that Taggy used to do i.e. contract...

Demetri Mitchell signs on for City

My guess is that the manager has been enjoying a well-deserved holiday and once he is back at work we will start hearing about players re-signing as well as new signings.

    Euro 2024

And yet that tournament was won by a team playing old school football.

    Euro 2024

As I mentioned a few posts before yours, with Wales not involved, the closest I could find was Taunton-born Tommy Conway potentially playing for Scotland.

    Ethan Ampadu

If they went to Gibraltar that possibly explains the lacklustre performance, given the game was actually being played in Portugal!

    Euro 2024

I see that Scotland have called-up Taunton born Tommy Conway to their squad.

I'm pretty sure Josh Sheehan has played more games against City than he has for Wales.

    League 2 Transfer Records

I'm not sure how accurate this is and it doesn't appear to include Ethan's sell-on fees but this has always been my point of reference. https://www.transfermarkt.com/league-two/transferrekorde/wettbewerb/GB4

    2024 Summer Transfer Window

As Martin Lawrence pointed out, in many ways we are one of the best clubs for players to sign for if they want a stable environment where they can enjoy playing and have a good chance of improving as a footballer. Unfortunately for most players either geography or money is more important.

    King George V Playing Fields

I'm not what you would call a natural goal-scorer but I scored one of my better goals on one of those pitches. A delightful chip from the edge of the box that curled into the top corner and was in no way meant as a cross - I can still picture it now.

    King George V Playing Fields

It is a decent size but if nothing has changed since the days 30-odd years ago when I used to play there regularly it's not very flat.

    Zak Jules

It's all about opinions but from what I've seen Zak is a much better centre-half than Ben who is better out wide.

    2024 Summer Transfer Window

The manager rated Alex enough to make him his first choice left-sided centre-half for over a year and only dropped him when his form made him hard to select.

    2024 Summer Transfer Window

It's not ideal but at least he came in and did the job he was signed to do - play lots of games and help keep us in League One. I'd be even more annoyed if we'd paid money for someone who'd stunk the place out and barely played before bu**ering off as soon as possible.

    2024 Summer Transfer Window

Is the lack of news on extensions and signings because there is no news to report or because they have been agreed but we are waiting for management and media staff to be fully back at work before the deals are finalised and/or announced properly?

    2024 Summer Transfer Window

We may not to take up the option on Zak if he makes it clear he wants to move and we decide we don't want an unhappy footballer for the next year.

    Alex Hartridge

I'm not an expert on Wycombe's finances but I'm guessing this is well-run in the football sense of the word - yes we're running at a loss but at least we're spending the money wisely and there is no short-term threat to the future of the club. After all it's worth remembering that Wycombe may...
