    OTR Ltd - Trust Vote

To make it simple...The asset value is now £350k. The value 20 + years ago would likely have been a lot less.... I'm being guarded on the mortgage cost as I don't want to get involved in a discussion that involves people who are no longer with us.

    OTR Ltd - Trust Vote

I was never a director or an investor in OTR..

    OTR Ltd - Trust Vote

The initial articles of the company stated this to be the case. Clearly, they were entitled to recover the initial cost, but that's where the track 'goes cold'

    OTR Ltd - Trust Vote

If the club has been paying 62k rent on the St James Centre, it would mean that OTR has profited in a considerable way. A 30 year mortgage on the building repaid at 62k a year, would mean that 1.8 million had been paid.. (I realise the rent may have been less over the earlier years) However...

    OTR Ltd - Trust Vote

It would seem that JT and the Newbery family are now the sole directors of OTR together with Richard Knight as Company Secretary. The declared asset value was 322.5k in 2023 an increase of 128k since 2019…Not sure why there was substantial increase in cash of 124k in 2022 which fell back to 16k...

    OTR Ltd - Trust Vote

I read the proposal, fully expecting at some stage, to see a vote of thanks to the people (some are no longer with us) who provided the finance to buy the St James Centre, with no real benefit to themselves, other than a wish to see the future of the club protected. I would like to think that...

    Caldwell out?

Bearing in mind that information on club budgets is difficult to find, and once found, equally difficult to believe. I'm asking the obvious question and that is, how does anyone know where ECFC stands in the budgets table?

    Club's Accounts ending June 2023

Bearing in mind there was a threefold increase in the operating loss, it emphasises the absolute need to continue to produce players who can be sold on. We don’t seem to have the quality coming through from the academy that we have previously had, so the ability to spot a player from another...

    October/March International break

So why is it on a City thread largely given over to players who play for City and Finland? More relevant on the regular BBC threads given over to sowing discontent between the home nations..

    October/March International break

City have had many more Welsh players who have contributed to the clubs history than ever will be the case for Finland..so the comment is indulgent in the extreme…

    The Serious Torquay Thread

As I said, Osborne is going to have walk away with little or nothing..600k to the bank can be managed. However, if there is HM revenue debt it might become tricky..Also depends if the council wants or can help..

    The Serious Torquay Thread

I feel there is a chance for Torquay. Assuming the owner realises he’s going to have to walk away with little or nothing, there is enough interest to be cautiously optimistic…

Peterborough United v Exeter City match day thread

This is the response of the Peterborough Chairman on the rumours of a large sell on clause for Ivan Toney.. “Complete misinformation, it even had me double checking the contract just now and the sell-on clause. Nobody pays £10million for a [League One] signing and pays 30 per cent sell-on… nobody."

Peterborough United v Exeter City match day thread

A cursory wander through Mr MacAnthony’s known UK assets might suggest otherwise. However, as he is an Irish national it’s difficult to know what hides under the carpet there.

Peterborough United v Exeter City match day thread

I have no idea either way, and it may well be that Peterborough do have “a budget that dwarfs ours” However, as nobody seems to know what our budget is, I’m amazed that everyone seems to know what Peterborough spend. 🤔

Fans Forum - Thursday 15 February

He's been with the club a long time..Initial expertise in performance analysis..No obvious outside experience in the identification of talent, but if he does his homework and develops a range of contacts then no reason he can't do a good job..
