The thing about the sending off is the ref cannot possibly have seen it. If he had seen it he would not have sent off Aimson. So the ref is basically guessing what happened and ruining the game accordingly.
I don't know is this is still true, but at one time Middlesbrough were the best supported club in the country on the basis of the size of their home gate compared to the size of the catchment area (i.e. the highest % of people in the area actually going to games).
I think the way we line up 3 centre backs, 2 wing back, centre midfield 2 x 2 and a lone striker does not suit Cox as he would be much better right or left of a front 3.
My view of today:
Sinisalo: didn't do much wrong, the goals were not his fault, one great save
Sweeney: terrible terrible game 2/10, kept giving the ball away and looked slow and ponderous
Aimson: gave 2 penalties away, poor decision both times
Hartridge: not his best game, gave the ball away...
This is the biggest game of the season so far (I reckon):
Win: we are going to do a Leicester
Draw: we can make the playoffs
Close defeat: midtable finish
Get stuffed: normal service is resumed

I think in recent years we have been spoilt by the quality of players that have come out of the academy, I can remember when Key, Collins, Hartridge and Randall all came through at roughly the same time. We simply do not have the same level of talent there at the moment.
