If what’s been speculated is true then it’s absolutely hero to zero for me. From being top 3 City players of all time to someone I hope our club have nothing to do with.
Thorough investigation needed.
Hope the others involved are okay.
I heard Collins was off to Sunderland at the start of the window. Same person told me about Stansfield long before it happened so there’s been talk for ages, albeit not publicly.
Also, Key has been nowhere near our top three player this year.
I remember Ben Hamer playing against us for (I think) Brentford and him winding up the crowd. I hated him for it. Fast forward a week or two and we had signed him. Loved the guy. We’ll soon get over whatever he may or may not do to the opponent’s crowd if he’s good.
It would only be a bidding war between those clubs and the digits in Sam’s contract. We’d still get exactly the same if a release clause is met, regardless if it is one club meeting it or fifty of them.
I think GC has done very well so far. In his first few games, he had the choice to continue previous tactics or try bringing his own in. It’s easy to forget that most managers do that against preseason non-league teams, rather than against many of those who I would expect to be in the top eight...
Yeah it doesn't make sense to me. At least now they are 23 we have some assurances that we will be getting a fee for them if they move on. I think a 12 month contract could be the worst case scenario really. It gives us leverage when we sell them, but only if they go in the summer window coming...
I like Dieng but if he moves on I wouldn’t be overly fussed. He is good in the box, but I don’t feel his technical ability is anywhere near this level. He got away with it last season due to being so effective in front of goal and generally one technical player (Collins) was enough. Will very...
I’m not sure it’s fair to say that MJ isn’t capable at playing league one level. When he was thriving he was in a different system to what we play now. For someone who played that well in league two, I find it difficult to believe that they couldn’t step up. I think it is time for him to move on...
He was great in his first full season as a RWB for us when he had loads of space in front of him to flourish. The problem was he got injured before the next season started and we played a back four where Josh Key was the star in the RB role.
Predicting he will be in red-and-white for the foreseeable future.
hoping we have a fair amount of money to improve the squad if Harper is off, plus Smith leaving early and the Pond deal.
I can’t remember a time when following City that so many players have been openly talking about being out of contract at the end of the season? Shows a big shift of player power, even at the lower levels where they can talk as if it is (rightly) completely their decision. With City it generally...
I asked for opinions about Caldwell on Twitter from his former clubs’ fans and the responses were largely very unpretty. Dare I say the majority of Exeter’s fan’s opinions on Tis seem similar. Added my original tweet below for anyone who wants to see the replies.
