Not at all Geoff. It was embarrassing at the time no doubt but overall it was a small dent in a much bigger picture, like I alluded to previously, one club was successful that season and one wasn't. Just a shame because of the pandemic we missed out on the inevitable league title;)
The only 4-0 that was relevant that year was your dire attempt in the play off final.
We've forgotten that 4-0 fixture had even happened, if anything it kickstarted our season that year by giving us a kick up the arse! Cheers losers(y)
Funnily enough Sturtz you couldn't be more wrong. I don't believe or think we are gonna stay where we are at all but am I going to enjoy it in the moment? Too bloody right I am:cool:
10 years this season in League 2 is it? Abject failure and falling short is the Exeter City DNA.
Where did I say we were good? Just better than your shower of serial losers, not much to shout about though...
Maybe if you got a proper manager in like Derek Adams you'd be half competent. Even Ryan Lowe has been a manager the same amount of time as Matt Taylor and has achieved twice as much...
What you wrote there is nonsense but anyway people aren't going to look at clubs judge them as successful because of lack of dept etc. Sadly you're better known for choking in the League 2 play offs 3 times out of the past 4 years. We've massively underachieved in our history but with this so...
It hurt at the time but if I was told at the start of the season we would lose that fixture 4-0 but still get promoted at the end I would've taken it.
There was a poll on twitter not too long ago where ECFC fans voted they would rather have a season where they would take beating us...
Although he may have had his personal reasons Legohead was actually a Torquay fan until not too long ago so its hard to take him seriously as a die hard greaser.
I mean if he did get sick of Torquay he could've st least chose a bigger club than Exeter ffs, Newton Abbot Spurs for example
Not sure if you've been sleeping for the past few months ramone but due to a global pandemic football had no choice but to stop and with lower league sides unable to afford to play football behind closed doors the 3 best teams to date were granted promotion, what are the odds that if you didn't...
Not a track proven manager? Didn't he get Bury (a club in turmoil at the time) promoted at the expense of your lot in 2018/2019 without breaking sweat?
Also interesting that Lowe and Taylor have came up against each other 3 times and Lowe is 2-1 up.
You can't argue with facts.;)
