The better side on the night won.
One thing curious to me is why we started with 4-4-2 when MT seems determined to play 3 in defence with wing backs. Surely, if these under 23 games are preparing players for the first team, then the formation needs to be the same?
We were rampant 2nd half. Scunthorpe had no response to our short pass and run game.
The back three continue to look very solid while Dawson made one excellent reflex save.
MJ looked much more himself. Brown was class.
Scunthorpe looked a poor side, with their right back Millen putting in...
An entertaining game, without much cutting edge from either team.
City's best moments often came from Swansea trying to play out from the back. Their keeper's footballing skills really weren't up to it.

Some good things tonight from a game where neither side looked that threatening:
Sweeney was again rock solid.
Kite competed well and his distribution was decent.
Dawson looks assured.
Brown was again our most threatening forward.
Dyer grew into the game and didn't look out of place.

The queuing for the BB was chaotic on Saturday and not a good intro for first time fans.
It's difficult to get the logistics of queuing and stewarding...
For me a good point against a strong side. We seemed second to the ball in midfield during the first half (same old) and , predictably, vulnerable to the ball over the top. But as the game went on we grew into it. Sweeney MOM for me.
These first weeks should be the weakest we'll be all season...
