    Genuine question for Matt Taylor

Not sure he's reading this at 16.50 on a Saturday afternoon. Perhaps if you asked Danny Seaborne you may get a quicker response.

Exeter City U23's V Wolverhampton Wanderers U23 Premier league Cup Wednesday 15th September 7.00 pm BST Kick Off

The better side on the night won. One thing curious to me is why we started with 4-4-2 when MT seems determined to play 3 in defence with wing backs. Surely, if these under 23 games are preparing players for the first team, then the formation needs to be the same?

Exeter City U23's V Wolverhampton Wanderers U23 Premier league Cup Wednesday 15th September 7.00 pm BST Kick Off

A view from tonight's game. Good game. Even a good atmosphere, with a vocal Wolves contingent. I'm really enjoying these games.

Scunthorpe United V Exeter City MDT

We were rampant 2nd half. Scunthorpe had no response to our short pass and run game. The back three continue to look very solid while Dawson made one excellent reflex save. MJ looked much more himself. Brown was class. Scunthorpe looked a poor side, with their right back Millen putting in...

Nombe works so hard - I do hope he gets a goal soon.

Brown lobbed effort well-saved by keeper. Good knock down from Nombe. Now a lengthy delay as one of the remaining centre backs is being patched up on the pitch.

Scunthorpe United V Exeter City MDT

It's a balmy 22 degrees and sunny in Scunny. A gusty breeze is blowing across the pitch, left to right as we look out from the away end.

Exeter City U23's versus Swansea City U23's - Premier League Cup Group Match Kick Off 7.00 p.m. BST 04 19.00 hours

An entertaining game, without much cutting edge from either team. City's best moments often came from Swansea trying to play out from the back. Their keeper's footballing skills really weren't up to it. I was impressed by Diabate, while Daniel looked comfortable without offering too much going...

MDT Exeter City v Forest Green Rovers

I agree about the good view and facilities from/in the SASS. My only quibble is the lack of singing. I used to sit in the Old Grandstand and not only would we pick up the songs of the Big Bank, but songs would also often begin in our stand. I know I am part of the problem - I used to sing a...

    Deadline day predictions

If only the club had put Josh Key's mum in charge of recruitment this summer - that way every one would have been a 'Ma Key signing'.

When I first read this I genuinely thought it said "Both Coley and Stubbs were interviewed in hospital today..."

Barrow A.F.C. v Exeter City Matchday Thread

Most entertaining bit of the evening was when commentator Anthony Waring said, with Pierce Sweeney lying pole-axed, 'Is that Jevani Brown?'

Padraig Amond in on a season loan

Seemed to work with Sweenz last summer. Besides I don't think MT's comments were a criticism, just an observation.

Exeter City v Wycombe Carabao Cup Match Day Thread

Some good things tonight from a game where neither side looked that threatening: Sweeney was again rock solid. Kite competed well and his distribution was decent. Dawson looks assured. Brown was again our most threatening forward. Dyer grew into the game and didn't look out of place. Most...

Exeter City v Bradford City 7/8/21 Matchday Thread

People shouldn't have to rely on tips and insider knowledge to get into a football match (unless, perhaps for the Euro Final at Wembley). The queuing for the BB was chaotic on Saturday and not a good intro for first time fans. It's difficult to get the logistics of queuing and stewarding...

Exeter City v Bradford City 7/8/21 Matchday Thread

For me a good point against a strong side. We seemed second to the ball in midfield during the first half (same old) and , predictably, vulnerable to the ball over the top. But as the game went on we grew into it. Sweeney MOM for me. These first weeks should be the weakest we'll be all season...
