Losing 1-2 at home to a bottom of the table Northern club is pure Tisdale, sort it out Taylor

    Time for a managerial change

I respect those that played such a crucial role in saving the club all those years ago, however they were far too lenient with Tisdale - results AND behaviour/attitude- who, in turn, began to believe he was bigger than the club. Will they make that mistake again? Quite possible

    Time for a managerial change

I imagine the majority of Grecians will want Taylor to have at least another season, especially if it’s going to be a busy summer in the transfer market (as has been stated). But the last thing the club and supporters need is another prolonged, bitter ‘divorce’ and so those at the top need to...

Matt Taylor - 2 Years As ECFC Manager...

There's the Club Charter: https://www.exetercityfc.co.uk/club/club-charter/ Which t from my reading of it would seem to focus on the academy and how the club is run but not about points on the board, promotion etc. Then there is Matt Taylor stating this: "It might not happen this season, it...

Well if correct then its in line with no stated plan of what the club's ambitions are going forward for the next 2, 3 or 5 years

No, not saying Cooper in but rather asking how long MT's contract is...?

I was surprised that Cooper was released by FGR but some on this board pointed out his 5 year contract was coming to an end and maybe it was good timing to change things. I just realised I don't know how long Taylor's contract is... anybody help? (i'm assuming not two-year rolling )

Nothing changes. Compare with the fearless treatment of Tisdale by the Bristol Post

Yes... but then we are getting back to Tisdale and his (still) claiming the youngsters as his. Then another season goers by and the same argument applies and suddenly we are bottom of League Two.

It's a 'Little Exeter' culture. We need a 5 year plan now so at least the paying fans know what the club wants to achieve beyond being solvent via good fortune and not success on the pitch, after all it worked once before

Agreed. There will be a future in coaching for Matt Taylor, or even management of a lower league club, and no shame in having given it a go.

personally I just don't want myself and the club, fans etc. to have to go through another prolonged 'divorce' just because we have people managing the manager who don't like change or want to do things a certain way. he's had three seasons at a solvent league 2 club and should be grateful for...

Taylor was unproven and therefore always a gamble. He's had three years to prove himself so no knee-jerk reaction if it becomes apparent his results and style of football is losing the support of the fans (who own the club). If things do indeed turn sour, do we really want him to continue...

Reduced budget? No turnstile money? I'm pretty certain we have literally millions of pounds pouring in from Ollie and others, perhaps this was the season to press home our financial advantage instead of being lLttle Exeter...?

It's become very stale and once the again the person/s who manage the manager are silent.

I was underwhelmed with Taylor's appointment and said so at the time on this forum. He's been given his chance but its all become a bit 'meh'. The club needs a published 5 year plan and Taylor needs targets set within this plan. At the moment we are just drifting along and the fact we have...

Does Vince think a club with an average home attendance of 2,500 (pre-Covid) should be doing better than they are? Cooper seems to have done a great job getting them where they are.
