Phew! That ugly game where we took a lot of aerial bombardment probably taught the team more than a comfortable 3-0 win. Clean sheet. Got to be happy with that. Andresson looks a lot more comfortable in goal.

I'm wondering whether he is getting in position early to then invite contact when a defender comes over him? He always seemed to get penalised if he goes up for a 50/50. He always certainly used to know how to jump so whether he is told this as tactical? Maybe a direct question to the man...

Ward has never been the same since his injury and Maxted only good on his goal line. We looked a better team with Andresson in goal so an upgrade there (imo). We desperately need a RCB. It is common knowledge that the defence needs a boost so MT has found a decent RCB (albeit when he is fit)...

Correct me if I'm wrong but I actually thought Sweeney was originally a CB when we signed him but we converted him to a RB so I see him being equally comfortable squad player to cover both positions but not necessarily a starter when Stubbs gets fit.

Don't know about anyone else but I'm hopeful in what MT brings in. Hopefully just enough to turn this team in to a very decent league 2 unit to kick off the second half of the season. We always have a dip and have struggled with genuine wide players in Randall and Williams being injured on top...
