I can't speak for Tavy, but when it comes to me at least, if any whiff of bad news comes along, I immediately see the silver lining. Pound crashes - cool, great for exports House Prices crash - brilliant for generation Rent Fishermen export less - more for us here, maybe even see price drop...

Caught a very informative and moving documentary last night on Sky Arts about the lead singer of X-ray Spex, Poly Styrene, aka Marianne Elliot-Said. I must admit I didn't know much about her or her band but because Radio 6 keeps playing their biggest hit "Oh Bondage Up Yours", I thought I'd...

Ok, well fair enough...but I'll be doing my bit to try and help him not lose his deposit. His cause is a very worthy one imho, even if it falls on the deaf ears of the many neo-liberal Uber Remainer dinner party set around our way. London is lost to Labour for good. I know that much. I see...

And one might think that will continue to sway the way of No as the months go by and Brexit doesn't end up being the disaster proclaimed by Project Fear (or even, dare I say it...a success). <<...runs for cover...>>>

And fair play to the fella. Love him or hate him, you can't deny he's been one of the most influential politicians of the last 30 years, if not the most. And he's never even had a seat in the HOC.

The average wage of a UK nurse is actually £33.5k. Here to help. Besides, if money is your thing I suggest you avoid nursing. Try getting a job in investment banking. Or if that's too cut throat for you, try angling for an executive non-job at the bbc.

Whilst on that note, even I am wondering if Piers Morgan has gone a little bit too far with this tweet: A little bit uncanny however that they have the same haircut and same dress. Calculated or coincidence?

Yeah, it won't be the front page. It'll be a little bit of it. And no doubt, there'll be a counter-barb not far away. Remember the News of the World's apologies hidden away on page 6 somewhere?

I just got an invite to book my vaccine appointment. I'm torn tbh. I had said I'd wait until Sept at the earliest, but after some rumination I'm thinking it'd be good to add a "Vaccinated against Covid" line to my CV which will be going out again next month. Mind you, that might just show to...

I see that in the absence of Cummings and the realisation from the Left that Dom wasn't actually running everything, they're now gunning for Lord Frost. The new boogeyman in town apparently.

I see yesterday that Starmer continued with the next chapter of Becoming Boris and was seen out and about in a high vis jacket. If he continues down that road, at some point he'll just vanish.

I suppose one positive we can take from all this is that a lot more elderly people will be taking a flu vaccine as winter approaches every year which should help the usual NHS winter meltdown a bit.
