    Re: Chernobyl

Yes, re: the paradox there is an excellent podcast by the writer/creator to accompany each episode. In one of them he says the events could only have played out like they did in the USSR. Not just...

Sticky: Re: Transfers in/outs 2019/20 and Retained list

It's not called the silly season for nothing (facepalm)

We'll sign a few more players people will be pleased/underwhelmed with (delete as appropriate) and carry on [G]

    She was superb.

I was impressed with the robust tackling of Arg. It's a shame it was literally all they had. Their lone striker made Steve Flack look like Messi. Eng completely outclassed them...

Re: Little things that annoy you

When you record a drama series on TV with episodes that end with a cliffhanger but the info for the next episode tells you what happens. i.e in the previous episode 'Peter' gets captured. Then the...

Nice one. I tend to miss things when they first come out. I just happened to watch it one evening on TV and was really moved by it. A real gem.

I've finished Deutschland 86 now. Got a lot better I...

    Re: TV Times

Late to the party with these. Enjoying them but all getting too far-fetched(!) '86 seems to have 'jumped the shark' a bit. It's absurd and almost darkly comic in parts but totally grim in others. I'm...

I agree. Reading the Politics thread I'd probably be considered to be to the left of Stalin by most people here but I'm afraid it smacks of virtue signalling a lot of the time.

Think it's just the parish council which has objections. Parish councils seem to object to everything in East Devon. Then East Devon Council just approve it anyway.

    Re: Chernobyl

I've watched the whole series again. I honestly can't believe how great it is. Don't think I've ever been moved by a TV/film like this before. It's been stuck in my head for days.

    Every scene is...
  13. Re: What responsibility do agents/players have when signing for a club?

Everything is rosy then. Great(!) Looks like the next basket-case club in the making.

According to a post I saw on twitter they owe creditors 5.5 million and seem to be signing experienced...

Looks fantastic. An exciting project. Easy to be cynical (I often am) but we need more sustainable solutions in all areas of development. And if we're all driving electric/hybrids in the future we're...

Would love to see the brain's trust involved in deciding that the best colour to choose for an away shirt was... green. Apparently, the Dutch were actually playing in their orange away kit tonight...

The roof scene was incredibly tense and terrifying. Think my initial assessment of the episode was too harsh.
