    I liked David Pleat's "Ali Shuffle" method of bamboozling his way past defenders. Although inconsistent, we had some memorable days in the late 60s, and he had a way of being involved in them.

    He certainly was. As I recall, we did pay a fee - around 15,000 - but received a lot more than that when he went back down the A38.
