    Re: Statistics and Club History

Incredible that we went a full decade without scoring a hatrick between 1993 and 2003. In a way that says a lot about the doldrum years through the mid 90's. Bad times.

George Friend played more than 40 games for us. Including his loan spell he made 51 appearances for us.

    Honestly I don't know...

    Hiley? -- M. Taylor -- S. Taylor -- Friend
    -Watkins? -- Rowbotham -- Coppinger?-

    Re: Greatest ever XI

I can't believe some people picked Deano over Friend at left back. Madness.
George would probably be the first name on my team sheet.

Also, Ampadu junior while clearly a talent didn't really do...

Re: Summer 2019 - Possible signings

I'm not saying he can't make the step up but lets at least see him coming off the bench a few times in L2 before we hail him as the new messiah. Matt Taylor will give him the opportunity if and when...

Re: Summer 2019 - Possible signings

If Ben Seymour is standing out at that level that may indicate more about the gap between the divisions that anything else. I'd love to see him step up to L2 but I cant see it happening any time...

I'm pretty sure you lose brain cells just by driving down the A38, I'm not worried. And if he isn't affected by that, its only a matter of time before the dumb janners shouting abuse makes him so...

Re: That Gap - What to do?

I hope the cameras focus on "the gap" more in future, just to annoy Pete as he sits in his armchair.

    Average Plymouthian

Re: Christy Pym has gone Posh

He was a good keeper but I suspect his physical attributes and ability to deal with crosses will limit his career. The further up the leagues you go the taller the keepers get.
    At 6ft he would be...

These teenagers sound pretty entitled considering they can't afford to buy their own Nike t-shirts or whatever.

I mean Joma make kits for Villereal, Swansea, Deportivo, Getafe, Atalanta and Sampdoria amongst others. But yeah, they are obviously a "barely unknown" (sic) company.... Tiny. (facepalm)

We offered him "the best ever city contract".
Should be entitled to some decent compo based on that.

Re: Boateng signs for MK Dons

Good luck to the lad. Nice enough bloke, needs to kick on a bit if he's going to justify the wages. Still time for him to develop but the clock is ticking for him.

    Re: League 2 News

Norwood is definitely leaving. Tranmere will probably go up and then struggle badly next season. They aren't a one player team but without Norwood they wont stay in L1.

    Similarly I'd expect...

Re: "Hanging on in quiet desperation....."

Plymouth are one of the smaller sides when they play in L1. The L2/L1 yo-yo is their natural position.
