Not many goals being scored that season, which was historically very significant. In fact it was the last season before the offside law was changed, to one we would recognise today.

Is that when Peter Shilton was in charge down there? We won 2-0 at home (Scott Daniels got at least one I think) and had three first half goals disallowed. After the game Shilton opined: it'll be different when they come to Home Park. Yep, you were right, we won 3-0 instead. What a game, what a day!

Also, looking at those fixtures, there's some properly poor crowds throughout all four divisions too: three games with less than 20k in the top division and Ipswich only just above 20k. Those were the days!

Yes..Shilton was still manager.

I’ve just sent it to my dad to get the definitive answer, I’ll be amazed if the answer is anything other than “I don’t remember son, it was 54 years ago” 🤣
