I understood that Ecotricity generated their own electricity through wind and solar farms, and they were looking to generate net-zero gas themselves, although currently they have to buy gas and offset carbon in other ways. The current energy crisis appears to centre on the wholesale price of gas, so unless they've hedged, that could create some pressure soon.

Personally I don't see why many people get so upset by Vince. He seems to be doing a lot of good and I agree with many of his principles (albeit I'm no vegan!!!), in addition to genuinely caring about FGR.
The problem is double edged...The wholesale market has gone crazy and the cost of carbon credits is soaring too...

Dale Vince was on C4 news.A very interesting interview.
Only 10% of their energy was not hedged.

He said taking on other suppliers customers is more trouble than its worth, also the failed companies green levies will not have been paid & have to be covered by the suppliers still standing as per Ofgem.

Avoiding the Hundred
Brief and to the point from FGR

Clearly an acrimonious parting of the ways with the usual guff lacking

Not league two but if anybody is interested (sign of the Chimes) a match in League one that could have the Cornish squealing in excitement 🤮. Up the Pompey - now would be a good time to start a run going🤞

Just been scouring through Stagsnet to see what the consensus of opinion is on Clough jr, and surprisingly he would still seem quite safe from a supporters point of view with some still holding him in messiah status and quoting what he's done in the past and also talking about transition and willing to accept mid table (sound familiar). This view may not be that of the chairman who's money Clough has been trying to spend.

One poster even suggests that their budget isn't as big as people think it is, in the light of a season without fans, and quotes his perspective on their recent signings with costs being born by parent clubs as they would seem to have a number of loanees on their books.

Another observation was that Clough has been 'moaning' about not being able to get his first choices in the transfer market, and one player, 'Naylor' was undergoing his medical when he decided not to sign for them and sign for Wigan instead.:ROFLMAO: What goes around comes around, he who lives by the sword, dies by the sword etc etc

Joey Barton on the other hand may not be so safe https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/signs-ominous-joey-barton-huge-5940537

Impressive and professional setup which seemingly leads to no end product...something isn't right.
