You and Danny Seaborne were very effective as a centre back partnership. Why do we now need three men to the job the two of you did?
I know MT spends his Sunday mornings perusing Exeweb in order to understand where he's gone wrong and what he needs to do to put things right, so I'm quite happy to wait until then...Not sure he's reading this at 16.50 on a Saturday afternoon. Perhaps if you asked Danny Seaborne you may get a quicker response.
Look at how much more of an attacking threat Josh Key and Jake Caprice have been this season than, say, Craig Woodman and Scott Hiley would have been in a typical back 4. Three at the back allows mobile wing backs to contribute a lot more to the game than two traditional full backs can.You and Danny Seaborne were very effective as a centre back partnership. We shall have to agree to differ. You may remember that we played with a back four last season and created more attacking threat than most of us have seen in the last twenty yearsLook at how much more of an attacking threat Josh Key and Jake Caprice have been this season than, say, Craig Woodman and Scott Hiley would have been in a typical back 4. But only for the first half of the season. We shall have to agree to differ. You may remember that we played with a back four last season and created more attacking threat than most of us have seen in the last twenty years
Yeah, in the end I would agree with Arthur's argument if last season didn't finish as the dampest of Squibs, when it mattered. But only for the first half of the season.
Most teams we've played against this season have also played three at the back and we've matched up well against them. What was great today was the players had the flexibility to adapt mid-match to four at the back to counter a team who were having success against us by playing with four at the back themselves.
