Salford to move in with Sale Sharks at the AJ Bell stadium. Possibly from next season

Not forgetting that the Salford Rugby Super League team also play there as well. Echoes of Rodney Parade, sharing a pitch with TWO teams of egg chasers ! The AJBell has a 12000 capacity, so there could be "rattling about" atmosphere (or lack thereof) quality at matches !

So which version will the media sell us?

Class of 92 fairytale continues
or billionaire Peter Lim's ambition to be a major player and asset owner in Manchester football grinds up another gear?

I think we can guess ...

My knowledge of the geography of Manchester is limited, but Sale seems fair way from Salford in a urban sense ?

Shirley the AJ Bell is in Salford not Sale anyway ? Probably the closest place to build a new stadium, and enabling a ground share with Salford RL. London Wasps moved all the way to Coventry remember !

Salford Reds likely to swap with the football team as they can't afford to stay there and it's too big for them. The AJ bell is in the middle of nowhere with poor transport links but I'm guessing has more off field earning potential.
