He has only extended his contract with Chelsea by a further year. Like others have said I’m sure there is a pay rise somewhere. I’m hoping that he has given himself some assurances within the contract. A buyout clause if not played a certain amount of times for their first team or something similar. Can’t imagine that would be something Chelsea would agree to though sadly.

I didn't actually follow the original move that closely so not even sure if this went to a tribunal or Chelsea paid a compensation fee.

Either way I'm guessing this came with a good sell on clause. Can anyone shed any light on what percentage sell on we have?

Chelsea do seem to be pushing him from pillar to post not sure that this move will be in his best interest…..Venezia currently bottom of Serie A.

I'm guessing he can say no to these loan moves. Good that he wants to play

I had mine in Dartmouth. Both places have plenty of water!

Dartmouth probably isn't sinking though, but who knows nowadays

Sadly Ethan was suspended so didn't play in Wales' match in the knock-out stages. He did play quite well against Italy, though, before getting sent-off so I wonder if that had anything to do with this loan move.
Thanks - you're quite right re the knock out stages (I misread:( the extract on the Chelsea website which said he played in (all) the group games for the Wales team that reached the knock out stages).

In reply to another post, I seem to recall that *Ethan chose* RB Leipzig for his first loan move. The system seems to be to allow the Chelsea player a degree of choice; subject of course to a satisfactory loan fee being paid!
