Really? Both great club players but: Rooney was brilliant as an 18 year old in Portugal until unjury cut short his tournament. He did very little at any tournament thereafter.
Beckham's performance v Greece was fantastic but he flopped miserably at every tournament he played in. Getting sent off, missing a penaltly, chickening out of a tackle (v Brazil), they all ultimately resulted in England getting knocked out of various tournaments.
You conveniently skipped 2002 when Beckham was outstanding at times.

I wouldn't expect you to ever agree with me.
The first half was carp and the 2nd half
was better, as I stated above.
I might be absent but I'm not vacant
S'all about opinions. Wales were good in the first half and should have been two or three up. Second half was a good old fashioned pot boiler with plenty of tension and incident that went all the way to the last minute of injury time. Good game.

Indeed, Becks and Rooney were pretty decent in both 2004 and 2006 as well. Both campaigns resulting in QF penalty shoot out defeats.

Both Becks and Rooney burst onto the scene at a young age. Thereafter expectations were beyond reality. They were both excellent players however and as someone mentioned above would be in any England Hall of Fame.

Haha. Both Beckham and Rooney faded in their twilight years, but to suggest they did little for England is absurd. Both earned over 100 caps and the latter is our record goalscorer. Yes, they both had games and moments I'm sure they'd rather forget but they were both largely fantastic for England.
played in a lot of inquant
Can no one take a fecking hint ?
Apparently not CB.
