The quality of a striker will always be judged primarily by the number of goals they score...If they have other assets like size and physical presence, then you can trade off some of their direct goal threat. If they don't have enough of either, then they aren't going to be worth a place in the squad.

I believe the gap in quality between league 2 and most of the conference is now so fine, i would struggle to see Seymour make it at that level, and I really do wonder if any teams in the conference premier would be remotely interested in having him.

conference south, Bath or Truro maybe is most likely his standard when he could succeed.

Tom Nichols is streets ahead of him.

On the plus side if we have blown promotion at least the fourth division will be more Southern next year with Salford Bolton Morecambe Tranmere pushing for promotion and Grimsby and Barrow looking to quit the league, with Torquay still leading Sutton in the National league (despite their best efforts to blow it) and Wimbledon Swindon and the Gas scrambling to play us, that will save a few bob and help our tired bodies.

Didn’t we sell him to Truro for £10000?! Never League standard but prolific scorer in local non league.
Should have kept him , he’d be challenging Ajose , Fisher and Seymour for a place now.
p.s And winning.

Lots of football still to be played. The four sides quoted as pushing for promotion from league two are in the play off places. The auto spots have Cheltenham and Forest Green. (Newport are just out of the play offs). To replace them? -In League One the bottom two clubs are Wigan and Rochdale. In the National League Hartlepool could overhaul Torquay.

We haven’t had a striker such as Binney, Banks, Kellow, Beer, Rowbotham for decades now. Did we stop looking or do we not have anyone who knows what to look for?

The draws are killing our hopes, 11 to date out of 30 - Walsall twice, Newport, Harrogate, Bolton, Vegans, Bradford, Morecambe, Leyton Orient, Southend, & Salford. Three have been 0-0. Whilst five of those clubs are currently challenging for promotion playoffs and could be perceived to be solid results others are against teams we should have stuffed at the time. Mediocre results lead to mid table finish.

The shame is on our day as we have seen we can beat anyone in this division we need consistency
