Highest ever league finish, back to back promotions. Plenty of reasons for that.
FFS get it right, he only ever equalled our highest ever finish in Division 3, achieved by Brian Godfrey in 1979-80. The previous season we had finished 9th, and the following season we finished 11th and also reached the the last eight of the FA Cup. Don't get suckered in by inflated claims propagated by Tis to massage his own ego. Yes he did get back to back promotions and deserves the credit for that, but Godfrey reigns supreme in terms of consistency. Tis only equalled it by massive overspending which nearly bankrupted the club again, and had us back to League 2 in next to no time.

C'mon, we werent close to relegation that season and the gates havent been back up to where they once were even when Taylor came in. As for his persona that is completely irrelevant. Nobody's asking you to go on a date with him snowflake.
Which season are you talking about? In 13/14 we were only safe in the penultimate game, finishing 5 points off the relegation zone. That was a very close call, you can't spin it any other way.

jrg333 has covered the persona point very well. 1st team manager is the main face of our football club.

Why are these apologists still defensive now? Meanwhile, Tisdale is once again failing in League One.

He perplexed people by talking as if he was a student of the game, a Pep - the football itself was often dire but smoke and mirrors worked on the chaps like you

So true.

Also always a runner-up and never a Winner like Cooper

As for the PFA loan

"Lower crowds last season led to City suffering a cash flow problem."

That was of course relative to L2 crowds previously not the L1 crowds @Trapdoor was appearing to claim.

19-20 4,847 further growth
18-19 4,343 fans return after PT leaves

17-18 4,072
16-17 4,300
15-16 4,008
14-15 3,873 PFA Loan

The other problem with Tisdale is that the man he was reporting to was clearly in awe of him and that’s not healthy in any walk of life, and led to Tisdale thinking he was bigger than the club

No it isn't. It's relevant to performances, which players we can attract, the harmony in the dressing room, the cohesion of senior management and most importantly, when you call your own fans who've travelled to an away game ****ers, it's relevant to how much support the team has.

As Mourinho keeps saying, and being proven correct about (see Lampard for latest example), the most important quality in a manager is his persona. Taking an arrogant i-don't-need-to-explain-myself attitude with fans, alongside making ****** gestures at them, hurt the club in a number of ways.
I don't disagree with anything you've said above. However, FWIW I've spoken to a number of players, past and present, over the years and none of them have had anything but good things to say about Tis.

I think they're probably right but as fans we found some of his comments unhelpful and became quite "Aggressive" if we dared to say anything at games or question his management style.

When the trust gave Tis his notice we were bottom of L2.

Some people have short memories.
