Bloody disgrace, especially from the experience Sweeney and Taylor. Time to get rid.

Collins and Sparkes should have started. Give the captaincy to Collins next year and let's build a young team without those tainted
Agreed. I'd add in Seymour and Randall and make those the first 4 names on the team sheet.

Seeing Exeter City at Wembley is the same as a guy who suffers from premature ejaculation while bedding a porn star...a complete anti-climax!

Maxted - Shaky kicking and not great on crosses but good shot stopping
Defence - Beaten up. Aaron Martin for all his elegant sliding tackles doesn’t do the bread and butter a league 2 centre half should. Moxey... Don’t want to say too much as he has been a wonderful servant across many years but... so silly. Sweeney... Not really at the races. We were crying out for Matt Taylor circa 2008 to come on and win some headers.
Midfield - The decision to put Collins on the bench was the wrong one. The brave decision would have been to bench Taylor but sadly Matt didn’t. I like Taylor a lot but he can’t break up play like Nige and he can’t pass and control it like Archie. Richardson ran down blind alleys. Williams tried really hard but it’s so tough when you’re the only real threat. Law - buzzed around but didn’t really make an impact.
Forwards - Terrible miss by Bowman just before half time... To not even get a shot away was criminal. Fisher was anonymous. People will say they had no service but you can still make a nuisance of yourself. Look at the havoc Vadaine Oliver created simply from goal kicks and throw ins. Though having said that I don’t if that says more about our powder puff defence when faced with aerial threat and physicality.

A huge challenge now awaits Matt Taylor in terms of recruitment in the face of financial challenges. We are blessed with a great set up and I cling to the memory of how our youngsters played at Portsmouth. The night is dark but the future has a bright light at the end of the tunnel (although that is very hard to see right now)

Will comment sometime later. Too annoyed at performance ... on and off the pitch.

Speak for yourself - I thought it was dreadful
Me too, Collins set up the winning goa in the semil, unless he was injured, no idea why he didn't start.

Of all our midfield combination this season best ones always had Collins in there. Yes he lost form/confidence in February but today showed how one dimensional Jake Taylor is! Needs a ball player beside him.
We lack a leader/character in that side all very happy to stay quiet and no body leading the side.
Bowman may of had his best season but we don't seem to trust him and we just try and pass it round the box and not gamble that he can score a chance. His run in first half summed him up, not quite good enough to be a out and out goalscorer. Lots of effort and workrate but not a big time scorer
