Well Stephen Kinnock drove to South Wales to see his parents. But I agree, Cummins was at the heart of making the rules he essentially ignored.

Kinnock, and Robert Jenrick for that matter, will have their constituents and local parties to answer to, although Jenrick was not relieved of his ministerial position. Cummings is seemingly answering to no one. He is someone instrumental in drawing up the guidelines which he has clearly, despite what the government are trying to claim, undermined. Professor Ferguson immediately resigned and faced the brunt of an attack from the very people now defending Cummings.

Angry, or just disappointed for all that felt Rishi had something in him.

Simon Clarke MP for Middlesbrough South and East Cleveland hitting the right amount of arrogance and contempt.

Hmmm, not sure this tweet says he supports DC. He states only that DC explained himself which is true (even if you hate / disbelieve the explanation) and that he understands public reaction ( which DC doesnt)

Given he prob was whipped to send out something, this isn't glowing, unconditional support.
More legs in this yet me thinks

True, but nothing will reunite the Tories quicker than everyone else coming together to attack them, when in the minority. They should let the Tories continue to RIP themselves apart under pressure from constituents with the daily probe from Starmer.
